A Guide To Girly Panties For Guys

Updated on October 21, 2009

What are the girliest panties in the world? I have composed a guide for men who wish to understand girly panties on a deeper level. We will begin with the five panty pillars,

The Five Panty Pillars

  • Lace / Mesh

  • Frills

  • Pretty Colors

  • Sexy Cut

  • Fabrics

Sexy Panty Cuts For Men

Men have to think about what a sexy cut is for them. Ladies can get away with wearing skimpy little thongs and low cut panties but because men must contend with their male member, they often prefer briefs or bikini cut panties.

If you're looking for a different kind of cut, why not try out tanga panties, which are like boyshorts, but with a higher cut around the derriere. Or if that's passe for you, then try vintage styles. There's nothing like a pair of bloomers to restore panty perspective.

Fabrics

Nylon

Nylon is a hugely popular fabric amongst men who wear panties because it is cost effective and yet incredibly sensual. Nylon feels good and looks great. Beware of cheaper nylon blends however, as they have a tendency to fall apart and start looking nasty after just a few washes.

Silk

For a special panty occasion, silk is a treat. Silk is generally more expensive than nylon, but the feel of silk is unbelievable. Silk is a natural fiber, coming direct from the spinnets of little worms who died for your sins.

Cotton

Some men love the feel of cotton. Cotton is natural, breathes well and is healthy for your skin. On the other hand, it's cotton.

Microfiber

A nice microfiber fabric has all the benefits of cotton whilst having a soft synthetic feel. Microfiber is good for people who purse an active lifestyle.

Acetate

Acetate panties are old school, and you can find a great deal of vintage acetate panties. Acetate is smooth and shiny, a synthetic fabric which can be dissolved by acetone, so keep your nail polish remover well away from any acetate panties.

Trims and Frills

Lace

Lace makes an excellent trim for panties, or it can be incorporated into the panty design. Lace is often used along with mesh to create alluring partially see through designs. Most men who love panties love lace, and for good reason.

Keep in mind however, there are various grades of lace, and if one is purchasing panties comprised largely of lace, it is wise to pay attention to the quality of the lace. Cheap lace can be itchy and scratchy and ruin your lingerie wearing experience.

Mesh

Much like lace, mesh is often incorporated into the design of girly panties. Panties can be made entirely of mesh, creating naughty see through little numbers. Often underrated and associated with trashy lingerie, do not dismiss mesh too quickly. A whole new world of breathable lingerie opens up when you embrace lace.

Frills

Who doesn't love frilly panties? Frills add flounce and femininity to any pair of panties. For men who wear panties, frills can help create a feminine shape, especially if the frills are located around the legs and across the backside of the panties.

Colors

This edict comes directly from me: Beige is not an option when it comes to panties. Other than that, you're free to do as you please.
