What, pray tell, is a girdle? Why, it is a relatively old fashioned piece of lingerie and the evolutionary child of the corset. Put simply, a girdle is a piece of shape defining lingerie which runs from under the bust to over the hip. It promotes a lovely feminine shape and irons out any unseemly bumps of flesh which can get in the way of attaining the perfect hour glass figure.
Whilst girdles are popular in literature (you'll remember Hercules fought the Amazon Queen for her girdle, and it's about to be obvious why,) they have somewhat fallen out of fashion amongst the young women of the modern age.
It is still possible to purchase girdles however, and they are the perfect compliment for men who wish to wear women's lingerie and look good in it. Girdles made and intended only for men are also available, though you may not find them at your local lingerie stockists, and instead of cinching in the waist, these girdles simply provide support for the infamous tummy region where the beer gut tends to grow.
Long Line Classic Girdle
The girdles here are from Secrets in Lace, a lingerie retailer stocking very fine lingerie indeed. First up we have a traditional long line girdle. With pretty lace across the legs, it is almost a pity that the rest of the girdle makes no secret of it support structure, which is clearly visible in lines running throughout the garment. A little but 1920's, a little bit bleached super heroine, how could one possibly resist? This long line girdle shapes everything from the tummy to the butt.
Pretty Panty Girdle
If you're looking for something a little less all encompassing, a panty girdle may very well be the better choice for you. The panty girdle is essentially a panty gone wild and overbearing. Instead of fabric extending down the thighs (which many men don't need due to the stunning state of their legs,) the panty girdle stops at the hips and simply controls tummy, butt and waist. This style of girdle may also be much more practical for the man who would like a shape controlling alternative to a garter belt, as it comes with suspender clips for attaching your stockings.
There's no doubt that girdles are incredibly sexy, incredibly charged pieces of lingerie. Granted, they are certainly more pricey than a plain pair of panties, but I think it is safe to say that wearing a girdle will take your lingerie wearing experience to the next level.

Yes! Girdles are worn by men. In fact, a girdle was the first item of women's clothing I wore. Now, I am stretching it a bit, because I began in girl's panties at age 4.....bought by my own mother at my request. But one of my favorite items was a floral beige (that color you discussed recently) panty girdle. I loved it!! I regret losing it during one of my purges. And that is something your Hub may help stop in crossdressers, purges. Time for guilt to stop! Men who wear women's clothes stand up for your rights!
Girdles are special. As Gunnau says, I enjoy the open bottom girdle. I wear my panties over rather than the traditional under, for convenience.
A couple of warnings; the suggested sizing on the net is way too big for me, by about 4 inches. The other thing to be aware of is that the slimming down of your hips makes an accidental pants drop a possibility. I usually wear suspenders on my pants when I wear a girdle.
Being hugged by a girdle, with your legs encased in shiny nylon, the garters showing on your pants when you sit, is all a turnon for me.
me i love all girdles especially the full bodied open bottom girdles they feel the best on me make me look shapely and when bathroom time comes makes it a lot easier besides they also help hold up my nylons too
Girdles are among the most sensual pieces of clothes. The way a good fitting girdle embraces ones figure, supports it is fantastic. For long years now, a girdle is part of my daily wardrobe. Especially the obg and the allinone are my favourites.

I am a male and yes I wear girdles. A few years ago I started getting a small stomach, plus I had lower back pains and had troubles fitting in my clothes. I also have a mild case of scolosis. I did some research and found that a girdle would help out, I found that to wear a girdle there are so many makes and models and there is lots to learn and it did become somewhat confusing. I located a professional corsetier for a fitting and consulting. What a great experience now I wear a long legged high waist boned and zippered panty girdle every day and I have never felt so great. I wear my girdles all the time, nearly always ONG except I wear panty girdles under a tight jeans, happily and with confidence too. Because my belly is gone, my 'wold' buttocks tucked in together , my waist , hips and thighs held form - and I like the support too as the girdle holds me up. That's why I wear a girdle all day every day - and I much prefer nylon stockings to tights as well.
Believe me I'm real comfy in there , completely forgetting I have it on most times - though it does remind me now and then. But that's fine.
Yes it makes me sit up straight ( no harm!)walk more prettily , and I have to bend with my knees.

Seems to me that there are some men who have made the experience of wearing a girdle. An OBG or an HWPG. However, a man´s figure benefits from a girdle the same way as a womens. And I made the experience that it has not just a physical but a psychological effect too. A girdle provides not only support it makes me feel better, stronger and gives a lot of energy.
I've been wearing girdles for several years now and don't often appear in public without a panty girdle on. I'm just saying this: Panty girdles are fun-cheap on ebay and very mind clearing and help my back. I don't wish to be a woman but it's fun to feel what they do and it allows me to talk to females more honestly after all these years. I had a negative attitude after my 2nd divorce towards women and 22 girlfriend moochers to follow. I just quit women and all mates like quiting smoking and took up panty girdles again daily. I never turned Gay. I wanted no more headaches. If I don't like an ebay girdle after I get it I resell it. Often at profit. Better than trashing it.
If ya want to wear a panty girdle do IT! They show little even the old classics. The addition spare tire above the tight waist shows more than the girdle does. I wear loose fitting button down shirts to hide that.

John, like your mother my mother wore a girdle every day. At first only obgs with stockings later panty girdles with pantyhose. One day I couldn´t resist any longer and tried one of her girdles and a pair of stockings. When I felt the soft fabric on my legs as well as the tightness of the girdle I was hooked at once. I started to wear a girdle more regularly whenever possible.
Years later when I had my own flat I started again. And for the last 15 years I´m wearing a girdle almost every day. These days I can´t imagine to go without one. And I no longer care if someone might notice.
At the beginning I was always afraid that the garters would be visible through my trousers. But I never had a problem. And I was lucky. Although it took some time my wife approved my girdle wearing at the end.

Some guys i know who like wearing them prefer the Open Bottom Girdle or OBG for short, style.
I'd love one but my other half would frown because of the bra component.
