He Makes Stockings Look Masculine - Eugene .T S. Wong

Updated on September 8, 2009

Who is Eugene T S Wong?

If you haven't made Eugene's acquaintance before, I recommend that you take a look at the first article concerning his ground breaking fashion sense, which can be found here.

A Man Who Wears Hosiery

This article features a full length interview with Eugene, and multiple pictures of him modeling hosiery styles for men. It's an article which has largely been overlooked because it was one of the earlier pieces I wrote on the topic of men wearing womens clothing, but it truly is a gem.

Are you a man who loves the feeling of stockings or pantyhose against your skin? Do you joyously wear hosiery in private only to have to take it off when you leave your home? Have you ever wondered how to openly wear women's stockings and pantyhose in the workplace without being sniggered at by the receptionist and being sent home in shame to change? One man has tackled this fashion problem and emerged triumphant and it is my pleasure to share his not so secrets with you.

Hosiery advocate Eugene Wong makes his second appearance in this series of articles with a great business outfit incorporating sheer green stockings. This should appeal to those of you who like lingerie and other items of women's clothing, but want to wear them in a masculine sort of way. Eugene has been advocating hosiery for men for many years now and every now and then he puts out great photosets to illustrate how men can wear hosiery and look not only masculine, but businesslike when they do it.

If Eugene had his way, all men would wear hosiery. I've pointed out that having all men wear hosiery would be just as unjust as not allowing men to wear hosiery at all, but Eugene remains unmoved, such is his passion for stockings and pantyhose.

This outfit is, as I have mentioned, his latest creation. A dark suit / blazer jacket, white button down shirt and an elegant tie are matched with shorts and deep green sheer stockings. It's all business, with an undeniable touch of hosiery. The deep green color both contrasts with the charcoal of the suit and shorts and reflects masculine overtones.

If a blazer and shorts reminds you too much of a public school boy, variations on this theme are quite possible. Eugene's shorts could quite easily be subbed out for a kilt or other form of skirt and the outfit would work just as well. Shorts or a less than knee length skirt work well in the summer, and a kilt, longer skirt, or longer shorts are more appropriate winter attire.

If you visit Eugene's Flickr page, you can find all his sets and perhaps a little inspiration for your own every day lingerie wearing.
