Men In Lingerie: Cute Pink Panties For Men

Updated on November 15, 2010

Sometimes a man who wears panties just feels like wearing a cute pair of knickers, and there's nothing wrong with that. Sure, black lace and red satin are sexy lingerie solutions, one might even say sexy lingerie cliches, but what about panties for those days when you're just in a cute sort of mood? Well there's nothing better than pink panties for a man who wants to have fun. Pink is playful and light, pink is a calming color that suggests joy and carefree self expression.

Though nowadays pink has been reserved for the ladies in many cases, its not too late to don a pair of pink panties and take the pink back for the boys! (Or at least share it around a little.)

Pink Is For Boys

Any style, any size, any color, pink panties are always cute. Perhaps it's because pink is regarded as being such a feminine, perhaps even girly color. Of course, that's a rather modern association, according to the history of color, Western society didn't start allocating specific colors for genders until the 1920s, and when they did, pink was decided as being a man's color with masculine properties. Blue, on the other hand, was said to be sweet and dainty, and simply perfect for girls.

Want proof? Here's a little from the Ladies Home Journal, which should obviously be considered Gospel on matters of style and social ettiquite.

"There has been a great diversity of opinion on the subject, but the generally accepted rule is pink for the boy and blue for the girl. The reason is that pink being a more decided and stronger color is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl." [Ladies Home Journal, June, 1918]

The Pink Revolution

This is probably going to shock and annoy, but it would appear that the reason that the tradition of pink being for boys and blue being for girls was affected by two major social movments in the 1940s, namely Catholicism, and the Nazi movement.

"Catholic traditions in Germany and neighboring countries reverse the current color coding, because of the strong association of blue with the Virgin Mary...the NAZIs in their concentration camps use a pink triangle to identify homosexuals... The NAZI's choice of pink suggests that it by the 1930s was a color that in Germany had become associate with girls." - "Gender Specific Colors"

So nowadays women's lingerie is often a sweet pink color, whilst men are stuck with reds and blues if they want to get creative with their underwear.

Pink Tanga Panties

Just because your panties are cute, it doesn't mean they can't be sexy too. Check out these pink lace panties, high cut stretch lace that is super sexy, and yet also nice and sweet too.

These are Tanga panties, a comprimise between a bikini and a thong they allow you to show off your derriere without having to put up with the uncomfortable floss effect that a thong can torture you with all day long. A relatively new style, Tanga panties are inspired by fine lingerie designers, and bring a touch of class to your panty collection, not to mention comfort.

With their high cut naughtyness, you're sure to be a favorite with a pair of these on.

And an added bonus? Wearing a tanga panty guarantees you no unsightly, (or if you're hiding a pair of panties under your suit pants), unstealthy panty lines.
