The Thief, the Policeman, and the Floral Panties | A Sims 3 Story
72
Meet Ayles Simlich, a good humored, childish, artistic sim who loves to be alone, and when faced with other sims may display behaviors which can only be classified as inappropriate. Ayles lived a quiet but rewarding life atop her little mountain of doom, where she penned trashy romance novels and avoided contact with the outside world.
Much like a budgerigar, all Ayles needed was a mirror with which to play and her social requirements were satisfied.
For many a day, Ayles remained indoors, eating microwaved meals and improving her writing skills. It was an idyllic experience, but it was shattered when one evening, whilst Ayles slept alone in her large and luxurious bed, a thief came to pay her a visit, creeping through the palm trees and over the carefully raked sand without so much as rustling a leaf or disturbing a single grain.
In spite of waking before the intruder made it to the front door, and in spite of the alarm going off with ear rending tones, Ayles seemed powerless to stop the thief from opening her thiefing bag and magically sucking Ayles's favorite writing chair into it. (There ain't nowt so odd as a thief with a magical thiefing bag, say the Irish.
Having stolen one item, the brazen thief then wandered about the room, pondering what to steal next whilst Ayles looked on dumbly, lacking the skills to defend herself or her property. She couldn't write her way out of this dilemma, that was for sure. So much for the pen being mightier than the sword, and so much for that dammed alarm.
Fortunately, help was at hand! The screeching of the alarm alerted nearby police forces and one of their number turned up to casually saunter in and arrest the perpetrator.
So grateful was Ayles that she spent a good hour or more chatting to the kindly police officer, unaware that she was clad only in her floral underwear. The officer was far too much of a gentleman to call her attention to this fact, and so on and on their conversation droned.
In the meanwhile, the unfortunate perpetrator saw herself downstairs and stood outside the police car, patiently waiting to be driven to the police station and charged with home invasion and theft. She looks downcast, but don't worry, once she is in prison, she will have the options of making friends with the other prisoners, playing dominoes, or working out.
And so all was well that ended well. The eventual upshot of this terrible
intrusion of Ayles's privacy and temporary loss of her favorite chair was the making of a new police acquaintance, and as any true artist will
tell you, it is always advisable to have a few contacts down at the
clink. If you know what I mean. And you do. I know you do. I know what you did last summer.
